Holden Special Vehicles are about as far removed from Vauxhall as one of my turds is from a rosebush.

I watch them Holdens racing against fords etc in the Oz touring car type thing, they are huge, fast beasts aren't they.

That 3 litre engine was used fifteen years ago for a period of 3 years according to my Aussie mate sat next to me. Holden were behind schedule in the development of a new engine so used the RB30DET as a stop gap. wink.gif

Skylarks are well respected in Aus after they spent a few years dominating the Bathurst Cup against the mighty Holden V8 beasts. Until 4wd and turbo charging was banned, oh I wonder why? LOL biggrin.gif Because the Sierra Cossies and the Godzillas were mullering the Holdens so they figured that they could kill two birds with one stone and make it Aussie only! Sport! wink.gif biggrin.gif

Yep sounds about right, but at least the racing is good to watch.

Fancied a Holden HSV GTS myself. There well cheap over in AUSSIE LAND, about £20K, compared to £50K here.
