finally got my car back and its had its 500 mile check over after extensive work, all is now well. These guys (steve the owner and andy the zed engineer) are top guys, absolute perfectionists, which can cost you, but by fook they do a top job. highly recommended to any zed owner. they are in the NE (falcon are in middlesbrough and look after a few zeds there).

its a long story, but basically my head gaskets blew, so they sorted out the heads and fitted new turbos. also had bew water pump, hydrolic lifters, hoses, pulleys, knock sensor, blah blah blah. All nissan genuine parts. But they cleaned everything, polished the piston heads,cleaned out the rocker covers, they go mad on perfection, clean all the electrical contacts, gee the list goes on. I had to run the engine in for 500 miles not going over 3500rpm. took it back they checked over the engine with a spanner, changed the oil and filter. man it purrs like a puddy cat now and it it goes as well.

Jaylox has had a lot of work done there as well.

top notch place, i am never going anywhere else. they are not an aston martin approved centre for nothing!

Ive almost done my first 500miles so just wandering what they advised as thats the same as i was advised except that after the first 500 miles , another 500 taking it pretty easy, ie not over 5000rpm.

yeh same here, not over 4500 rpm, then hell breaks loose!!!!!!!!!! and not the engine i hope..nah they do a solid job, dont think it could be done any better to be honest.

i can vouch for ste at falcon.so far ive spent a fortune with him ,but the job is top notch.this guy get cars from all over the country(ferrari/aston martin/lotus etc ,

 

probably one of the best garages in the north uk,if ya want a perfectionist working on ya car this is the guy!
