Hi,

A new series of 5th Gear starts tonight, with a test of the Bugatti Veyron.....

"Tiff Needell kicks off the series in style with the fastest car in the world – the Bugatti Veyron. As well as a breathtaking road test on public streets, Tiff takes the Veyron to a circuit for the first ever televised track test of this £890,000 beast."

Cheerz,

Jez

top gear isnt that good really its just full of weird races and childish toys that jeremy wants to play with imho

fookin ahmen to that, i like all the presenters of top gear, but as a programme its shite

Top Gear is now garbage imho, not about cars anymore.

Don't like the programme, in particular the way it is filmed - all the flashy images which prevent you from seeing the actual car for more than a split second, or the presenters.

VBH just squeels nonsense, Tom Ford needs a haircut and some decent clothes and Needell (although the man can drive) has this annoying urge to ALWAYS get a car sideways - that is not the point of whether a car handles well or not under NORMAL circumstances. And what's the deal with this Johnny guy who runs a Merc on chipfat ... like anyone cares!...............................

................Anyway - it is/was a crap programme and always will be. Rant over ;) ...

Have to agree wholy there Danny

They are just trying to copy Top Gear but without the real tongue in cheek humor or banter. Tiff is a driving god but VBH is just completely annoying - no wonder they didn't let the daft bint behind the wheel of the Veyron.

I mean, remember when she tried to get an Aston over 200mph?? She just squeeled inanely when she couldn't get it over 180mph after 3 or so attempts:smash:

I only watched it for the Veyron and can state, hand on heart, that I won't be watching another episode :p

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Top Gear usually try to jump over old caravans in anything they get their hands on!....They've lost the plot lately and I've started to prefer 5th Gear intead!

Cheerz,

Jez.

got to agree that TG has started to loose it in the last couple of series because it has turned into boys messing about and not about cars at all. It can occasionally be funny like the Caravan tour one and the tractors sowing a field but i wish it featured more about cars. The star in the reasonable price car is also getting a bit old now but the races between car and other transport are always good.

What would be good in these progs would be if they re-reviewed cars as people rarely buy new cars and they could see how it is stood the test of time and how it compares to modern competitors. Dare i say it they could review a zed! I know it has sort of been done before on the TG Classics show and Used Car Roadshow but i think these shows tend to miss the point a bit.
