Non phone line internet, are there any viable options?

Was thinking of ditching my landline all together as my mobile is just as cheap to use!

Was also thinking of using t-mobiles mobile internet package, with unlimited downloads, is this a viable alternative to landline internet?

Are there any other disadvantages to ditching your landline, do some companies regard this in a negative light?

You need to compare the speed you are getting mate, even 'unlimited' downloads are usually capped (same with normal internet mind). I'm not sure what speeds t-mobile gives but its bound to be a lot less than landline. Ok if all you want is web pages and not downloads though. I spent several years in the forces accessing the internet over a 12k old style mobile phone!! Surfing for porn took all night haha

I don't download any "films", so just normal browsing is what I use it for 90% of the time!

speak to vodafone about there wireless USB card. I think it was £25 a month with no contract or limit and it will work anywhere !

I know you can get internet via satelite. Very fast too. Don't know how much, I'm sure Sky are on of the providers.

Really would prefer something more mobile, and have heard scatellite is very expensive?

Yeah, satellite is not the way forward (hope Gio doesn't read this!).

You may be able to get a cable based broadband that doesn't rely on a phone line.
