Hi All, my PC has developed a funny (to me) fault.

For example, if I am moving the mouse (but it does it at all times) in a continuous movement it stops, momentarily, every one second, it stops and as quickly moves again.

It does it also when I do this too ........... ................. .................. ............... the spaces are representing the "pause" that the pc makes when I hold my finger on the full stop key continuously.

Any ideas please

CPU usage is 19%, if I move the mouse round and round it goes to 21 to 22%, sometimes, not often 24%. Left alone its stable at 19%. Have done an antiv virus, up to date AVG nothing found, also used Spybot and Adaware, nothing.

But, if I look under proscesses, Sytem Idle Process is listed as 99. Does that mean anything?

No, feels normal. Mouse is fine, and as I said, even just trying to type a line of full stops, or this "fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff for example, caused it to stop three times. But the "stop" is more like a pause. seems to do it all of the time. Games too.

And its getting worse....

What type of mouse and keyboard have you got, standard or funky battery powered wireless ones etc ?

Standard, Microsoft mouse, both wired. But it was fine until a few days ago, and I have not added anything, or removed either.

I thought that, so I cleaned all the fans and hoovered the case out. But, as I write this, its not doing IT.

So, who knows? I dont......thanks for your input people. I will post again if and when it goes wrong....
