I was down by the river with some people last night, one of the guys had a flat tyre on his evo so we're all standing round watching him fix the wheel. In the end the space saver didnt fit cos of the big calipers so he put the flat back on, let the car down and put some gel in it.

 

Theres another guy whos just bought a scooby 320 (one of those blue things with gold wheels), to be fair to him it was black. Anyway hes standing with us looking at the wheel and he says (this is great)

 

" dont worry, u'll be fine, its only flat at the bottom"

I burst out laughing, its not gonna be flat at the side is it, then noticed he was being serious and none of his mates were laughing so i just crept off to the side with a little chuckle.

yeah, unfortunatly its for real, the guy with the evo was a bit silly too, he put the gel in, pumped his tyre to about 19psi then ragged it home, we read the gel bottle after and it said, for the first 40 miles dont exceed 30mph.

What type of gel was he using ? I need to get some as I no longer have a spare that fits over my brakes.

what if you do that lighter fluid trick where you set the wheel on fire or something like that (like on top gear)

The tyre would blow up in your face, it doesn't work on small tyres, or punctured tyres.
