Welcome to the Scottish Regional forum Nick. I recon there will be a region far closer to you but if you want I will add you to our merry little band. We dont meet that often, but that would probably be better so that you dont have sell the house to pay for all the fuel running up here.

I come up to Aberdeen every now and again to see my nan. Should have mentioned that really! LOL!

It's all clear now!, visiting Aberdeen.....you just didn't want any sheep jokes. :D

Welcome and your added, keep an eye on the forum for any arranged meets whilst your up here.

Welcome back, youve been in hidding a while :)

Hi Ossian , how are you ? sorry i aint been around much last while and sorry for the late reply lol . Nice to see a decent amount of Scottish owners on the list . If I was computer literate I would post more often but I'm afraid I'm still getting to grips with this Fisher Price computer :hyper:

Hope all you guys doin good and the zeds are running well.

Its zeds your talking about, theres always something to be doing to them and I think most of the guys have had some problem or other. Mine has been off the road for nearly a year now, but i've set a repair by date of spring time or there abouts to have it done by :D.

Hows your car doing and also do you ever see Scotty (is he still into Z's)

My apologies hehe , you're right , theres never a time when nothing needs doin . My zed is goin ok just now but the weather keeps it in the garage . I dont know if you noticed but I got my car featured in Fast and Modified magazine back in March. I got 6 pages worth done on it so I was quite proud .I've never seen of heard from Scotty in a while but he's still got the zed and last i heard he was goin to get the TT conversion done on his NA. Whats gone wrong with yours ?

Dreaded tin worm! needed to do the sills so started poking around to see what else needed welding. I ended up with a fookin big list, sills are done just some chassis repairs and a couple of rear panels to do now.

sorry to hear that buddy , the problem with tin worm is you've got to cut out the whole rot or it just races back . As you've prob found out already , once you start hunting you just keep on finding . But good luck anyway and hope its all in time to enjoy next summer. I cant work out how to stick pictures in here cos im a complete novice on a pc so I'll give you this link for mine. http://www.tmgstudio.co.uk/fam/1/pages/feature_300zx_0307.php

Just had a nice guy (Rae) come over for some parts off me, he's an Aussie living in Cuper, i gave him the club website and he says he's going to join when he gets home as he is a member of the Australian Z club but looking for help/advice closer to home.

He has a black TT and an N/A and is looking for a few parts namely autobox for his N/A and a tailgate with wiper motor. He also likes to keep everything origional ;)

I'm sure we'll all make him welcome when he makes himself known.

hi there 300 lovers

just a wee ? to find out when will there b a big meet in the scotish area as ive not been to one yet and would realy like too. :hyper:

Even more members North of the border, hopefully get a few more people at meetings this year then!

Havent planned any this year as yet, Ive been a bit busy with work. I do hope to organise something next month but I dont think that many will turn up at this time of the year (too cold to hang about), So it will likely be small gatherings, ie Shrek wants to head along to the Falkirk cruise.

Once it warms up a bit (and hopefully my cars back on the road) I will arrange some more meets, hopefully a run or two and will try to get some involvement in some of the car shows and events.

He's already a registered member, raeshaw he posted yesterday about problems with his N/A. I posted a message on there but he never replied. Maybe we should all turn up at his door chanting like a cult so he'll subscribe lol. :slap:

I've had 4 at my house to help offload an engine, must be the biggest Scottish meet yet lol.

Your wish is my command, just say when you want it arranged for, Shrek is talking about heading down to the Falkirk cruise if you want one arranged for then.

Sorry to hear your still having problems, I take it the garage couldnt fix the problem then ?..... If you want to bring it down to compare the piping with mine, might be able to spot something they are missing.

Hi Ossian,

Still a member, but now zedless....so if you can update the wee list

Erm, yeah....about that!

I took the zed upto the local asda on thursday night, did my shopping and came back out. Put the key in the ignition and got absolutely nothing! Called out the breakdown people and the towed it to a local garage. When i spoke the the people at the garage, they said that they dont wanna touch it! Totally Raging!

So i tried a local auto spark who is happily gonna have a look at it for me, on thursday morning. So as long as its something simple and easily fixed, i should till be able to make it to the cruise!

Mikey might be a loose wire or something silly like that, maybee something disturbed with the engine being out.

Cheers John

well, we checked the wires coming from the battery and alls well. Checked all the fuses in both fuse boxes and nothing is blown. Confused me but its booked into an auto sparks for thursday morning, so all going well, i'll have it bk for the weekend!
