What forum software does 300zx.co.uk use?

The reason I ask is that our work support forums are often quite slow and I've been told it's an inherent problem with phpBB, but I thought 300zx.co.uk, which has 10 - 20 times as many active users at any one time, also ran on phpBB, and yet it never seems slow... and that's with people having massive signature pics and all the rest of it.

 

So, is it phpBB, vBulletin, or something else? And what kind of hardware/OS combination is it run on?

 

Sorry for the extremely nerdy questions, I'm just after some ammo to get our own forums sorted out because they're just a bit embarrassing sometimes.
