Quick question about burning audio in Nero 7

Trying to run off some demos a) for people who have kindly said they'll pass them onto people "in the know" but also for people I know who want to hear 'em. Although the former is very pressing (sorry for the delay Liam if you're reading this!), the latter now also needs to be done for tomorrow. I'm working with crummy MP3's rather than the original files which isn't great as it is (the proper demo's are being sorted by my producer), but to compound matters, Nero 7 seems to keeping missing the first couple of seconds off each track when I try to burn them all together. Any idea what I'm doing wrong folks?

not 100% sure as im still using nero6. think its much the same setup though. heres a screenshot, check the circled ones. once youve clicked on audio cd, click on cda option then check the bottom circled box. try it without the tick in the box.

Cheers for that mate :) Just tried it and doesn't seem to make any difference though :( Even when I preview the tracks in Nero it seems to clip the beginning off them! Bizarre.

umm. thats wierd. never had that problem. have you tried any different software ?, or try doing it through windows media player and see if that makes any difference.

Yeah, going to default to WMP for the time being till I can sort out what the hecks going on with the darn thing! Bleeding technology! ;)

yeah, bit like cd`s when they were released. turns out that they arent as good as they thought they were. lol. i use a bit of software called "cool edit pro 2". superb bit of editing kit. i use it for making ringtones, but it probably does everything you will ever need, sampling, effects, plus loads of other bits. when youve done, it also allows you to put directly onto disc.

Sounds good. :) I make my producer laugh because, although I have copies of Cubase SX3, Reason, Battery etc etc etc all ready and able to perform reasonable quality takes and basic mixing in my simple home studio (though nothing like the standards in his pro studio) I'm happiest when I'm making the roughest and dirtiest impromptu recording. When I'm composing and making rough demos I really can't be arsed fiddling with all the techno gimmickery. I need to be able to wire a couple of mics up, hit record and away we go..."get it down, and get it down quick"! Lol! It's a different kettle of fish in the studio when I become Mr anally retentive and spend hours tweaking a guitar sound but when it's just me I can't be having with it! Which is why supposedly simple stuff like burning a CD really ticks me off when it goes t1ts up. Rant over. lol! :D ;)

if you have msn or another messanger service, then i could send it you. its a 21mb file so emails no good. pm your messanger addy if interested in trying it. ;)
