My car has been off the road for a while and I haven't got around to getting it MOT'd. Anyway, I decided today that I'd give it a service and take it for the MOT tomorrow, hoping it would pass and I can take it to the Festival of Speed on Friday. :)
So I changed the oil, etc and then decided I'd better check the bulbs as one always seems to fail on the way to the MOT station. I found that when I indicated left it would flash much quicker than when I indicated right. I had a look round the car and found that the front indicator wasn't working. :headvswal
I took it apart and found that the bulb/holder were both pretty corroded, so I tried cleaning them up, but that didn't work (I may need to clean them up some more I suppose). Then I swapped the 2 front bulbs over and the problem remained on the passenger side, so the bulb is OK.
I presume that if it was a fuse problem, neither would work?
Can I check that the circuit is ok by sticking a multimeter across the terminals of the bulb holder and turning the indicator on, or will that break something? Any other thoughts?
