Got an interview today at 10.30 to do an aircraft maintenance technician apprenticeship with SR Technics in Dublin Airport.

Cant wait to get it over with but over the moon that they want to interview me so just decided i would share!

i work for SR Technics Stansted as a B1 aircraft engineer! Only been here since jan but i used to work here 7 years ago when they were FLS Aerospace and also served my time there. Been trying to get out of the industry since not long after i started 9 years ago LOL... job security in the industry is shocking, iv been made redundant twice in 3 years and it looks as though im not far off being made redundant again.

 

Dont let my doom and gloom put you off though... on the up side, the SRT apprenticeship scheme is a very good one and in fact one of the few remaining companies offering a scheme nowadays.

That's pretty much what I did, I'm an assembly technician for Goodrich, I started my apprenticeship about 5 years ago and am now on a little over £30k including shifts and overtime.

well had it earlier and thought it went quite well! answered everything they through at me no hessitation jus straight out! well joely even if i can get my 4year apprenticeship den feck off to a different company it would be ok! just really want to work with aircraft!

I will indeed....hopefully i hear before the 30th of june as im in england until the 5th from then!
