can i change vista 64 bit into 32 bit

as above i have brought one care today to find out it wont load on 64 bit vista :headvswal so can i change my settings to 32bit (and how) as when i loaded vista i was asked if i wanted to load 32 or 64 bit

    i know you can install the 32bit onto 64bit systems but i think you are goning to require a reinstall with a 32bit disk

    if you bought it from retail shop take it back as it's false advertising as it doesnt state it's not for x64
