just had a play on a r1 :-)

Wow just had to test ride a 1999 r1 and my god what a bike. i have an r6 but the r1 is just in a league of its own i have never rode a bike with so much grunt and pure power.the handling is just as amazing to does anyone own one im seriously thinkin about trading my r6 in for one but not sure on insurance?? any help

    R1 is group 16 - one less than maximum so it won't be cheap.

     

    http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk seems about the best for bike insurance - or Carole Nash.

     

    You might need a brick garage or cat 1 alarm or they may not touch you.

     

    I had a couple of R1s a while back. Nice. Fast!
