More than 4 drinks in one night and you're a problem drinker!

Was a bit shocked to see that a national paper was labelling anyone that drank more than 4 drinks in one night as a problem drinker, how do you rate in this?

Apparently if you have more than 5 pints in one go your a binge drinker and if you binge drink it is worse than having a few regularly . :duffer: :D

Well im a student, i only go out twice a week and i do get bladdered each time, but i wont sit at home and drink any other night. Dont see the point.

That makes me a binge drinker doesnt it? Well that makes near enough every student in the country a binge!

4 glasses of light sparkling wine at weekends...then quite obviously, 'no'.

you drink what? :slap:

The recommended weekly limits are 21 for a woman, 28 for a man.

More than 4 units a day, every day and you have a problem.

1 pint of 4% beer = 2 units!

Single spirit or 125ml glass wine = 1 unit.

so that means sharing a bottle of wine every night is under 4 (about 2.75 to 3units) perday.

Which is within the recomended weekly limits yet your still saying is a drink problem?

Well the French, Greeks, Spanish and Italians are well scoobied. Yet these are the countries with less heart, cancer or mental illness. They are also the heaviest smoking countries in the EU.

The main differences as I can see it that they eat low intensety farmed foods, work less hours rarely watch TV, spend more time outdoors and don't worry what news papers come out with.
