So what do you all make of the symbol for the Olympic Games?

More to the point, what do you see?

I see a weirdo "DAD" Dancing

:o

dont get me wrong the lolympics IS a good thing for Britain, but i think a little too much money is being spent to show Britain off as holding the best olympics ever.

The olympics shouldnt represent money, its about talented international sports men and women hopefully will get more young people to see the benfits of sport, as always the powers that be have diverted away from whats important and once again it all boils down to tax payers money

Imho

Unfortunately for us to compete we have to spend a awful lot of money for a few reasons a lot of people are unaware of.

To hold an Olympics you have to have certain facilities that pass the criteria. As of this year London has 2 sites. The new Wembley stadium (the old one did not pass on safety) and Wimbledon which as we all know is one of the best sporting venues in the world.

So that means we will have to build the rest. This is also part of the Olympic mandate of regeneration.

So of the 40 or so events we have 2 sites that can cater for 2 events. Plus there must be the housing for in athletes, which would then become housing for the people.

OK now ill do some maths as the what it takes to train an athlete for the Olympics.

£80-£150 per week, every week for 6 years. And for every athlete that is at the event there should be 50 that miss out to guarantee medal success.

Were talking investing Billions into sport across the country.

Now I ask you, how many parents are out there getting there kids into organised sport and making use of this money?

Very very little. So don’t expect much, but I swear to god everyone will be moaning about it afterwards.

Get on teh boat now, as its leaving very soon.

nothing worng with teh website. no different than any other website.

yeah they removed the animation that was supposedly causing the problems. would love to see what it looked like. maybe its on youtube
