Hi Peeps,

Thinking of decatting.

#1 The motor & tubs on my car are sound, will decats screw any of these up?

#2 How does removing the o2 sensors affect the running of the car.

#3 whats they best way of removing the o2 sensors - I'm doing a manwell conversion so I'll be under the car anyway.

Cheers

Marc

1, Don’t de-cat unless you have the money in the bank for new turbos. Think of it as an emergency parachute, chances are you wont need it but you'll be glad its there if you do!

If you do a search you may find the results of a survey on this, ie did removing the cats cause a problem with the tubs. IIRC the majority said no.

no problems yet. :)

and dont remove the o2 sensors! :slap: easiest to change them is: 1) when your g-box is off or 2) when you fit your new divorced downpipes and decats. But 2) is much easier with 1)!
