ABS light stays on

Hi AndrewG,
We tested the resistance of the driver’s side ABS speed sensor and found it completely unresponsive, there was no measurable resistance, suggesting the sensor has failed.
Since it wasn’t showing any signs of life, I’ve ordered a new replacement from the USA to fix the issue properly. Once it’s installed, we’ll be able to confirm whether this resolves the ABS fault and any related speed signal issues.

Mini road trip to France

Hi there, just the usual things no big deal.
I don’t bother with headlight deflectors as I don’t drive at night.
Things I’d do & take: Magnetic UK sticker, light bulbs, 2 yellow jackets ( in the car not in the boot), warning triangle & paper copy of car insurance, driving license.
My AA membership (Gold) covers me for 3 short trips abroad per year breakdown. If I go for longer I take out their 5 ***** star breakdown for piece of mind.
Plus all the usual stuff before, tyres,washer,water,oil,brake & hycas fluids & daily check whilst away.
It also helps being 6 miles from ferries & 6 miles from Eurotunnel 😀

The last "victim" who bought it actually sent an email too ProTyre who issued the fresh advisory free ticket.They were very arrogant about the fact a wreck was deemed roadworthy & shirked any responsibilty which is shocking.
