Are the a pillars straight? cos if they are bent (and the could be if the wings have done what you said) then it will probably be a write off.

Otherwise (someone correct me) its about 75% of the insured price of the car, at which point they will class it as an insurance economic write off (i.e. not structurally damaged, just costs them too much to be arsed repairing. You would be given the option to buy the car back for scrap value).

Take EVERYTHING off the car you want before it goes away for evaluation.

If its a structural write off, you wont be given the option to buy back it will be a catgory (whatever, a/b/c) write off, sent to scrap and crushed.

Dont wanna scare you, and at 15 mph you hopefully havent done anything too bad...just letting you know smile.gif but just beware you may be unlucky and have done the a pillars.

If you choose to repair yourself then you can buy 2nd hand parts, but the insurance company will use new parts, so that 75% (or whatever) soon mounts up. good luck with what you choose to do smile.gif

Dont have nightmares wink.gif
