If you sign up to this site which is the nintendo site it allows you to get stars for registering your games, you'll get a card with most games with a pin number on. My console come with a points card and have 2 others with games

 

The stars are then used for buying goodies off the nintendo site, you'll be able to buy nintendo points with these stars in the near future when this option is added to the catalogue which then your able to buy the retro games with.

oh have you found out where to change them to points for the wii or are we still waiting for them to do it?

nintendo aren't telling when they are doing it yet, there are to many good games on VC its costing me a fortune

it's not availible to download. that reminds me of a video i saw of the ghost of rainbow level, where someone jumped around the corners and going side ways pretty much all the way to get a mega time.
