I thought it was $50,000 not £££? Have a look on LME.

Anyway £25k per tonne is pretty good going anyway.

A local chrome plating place recently had all their stock of half a ton stolen. Poor blokes, they only just scratch a living and have just recovered from the last time they were raided 7 months ago. :nono:

yeah your right. brain wasnt functioning correctly last night. LMAO.

its gone up again today $49.900 = £25.112. price sheet was faxed through to my office 30 minutes ago. copper = £4.036 , lead = £1.039 , ali = £1.445. the problem with copper and ali, theres loads of different types & values so dont take the above as gospel. E.G: new copper cuttings/tubes - £3530, No1 copper wire - £3230, No2 copper wire - £3030, household cable - £1050, armoured cable - £450. the list just carries on.

no, take them to a scrap metal dealers, not just a scrap car yard

What do you think they would be worth in scrap..? I took down 2 smallish bags of clean Copper and one bag of Brass. I would have thought about

£50 ish going on our last visit but hell know £96....They paid £2.40 per kilo on the clean copper. The price is nutts. I think I will take my old wheels down and see what they will give me. They are mint the tyers are worth £300 & I would not sell them on here for £100 Shame as they are mint but scrap is scrap at the mo.
