I`ve read the old posts on this subject ( Headlight Bulbs ) but still a little confused. One of mine has blown and I have tried several places and get one only to be told , they have never seen one before ???? , My cars a 91 NA Import

Please Guys can you help , Where from ? and how much ? What part No ? ( is it 9005 and 9006 ) is this what i ask for ? My local Halfords did`nt have a scooby.

A guy on TT.NET posted an address (in England!) for H3C bulbs (9006) for imported Zs. They're a bit pricey (£35 each), but that's Zs for you...

Std headlamps are crap. Upgrade to 30% brighter xenon bulbs from halfords etc - much improvement. Osram H3 super 453SUP - still 55watt so you won't cook your wires.

 

You'll need to frig the connections as yours will have 2 connectors and the new bulb has 3. It's easy enough if you can use a soldering iron. Had mine done for a year now.

 

Check the Tech Section for info on how to convert standard halfords bulbs to fit your Jap import Z, There is a write up in there by one of the forum members Simon Pass. Which should cover anything you need for stock replacements.

have a word with luke borg the bulbs he sold me were bang on and went in no problem

 

Ordinary bulbs, plus the high wattage rallye ones can be bought from www.fosmo.com. Good prices, free postage & quick delivery. Seem to specialise in Phillips, Osram & Ring.

I bought H3's & modified them. I also have a suspicion that if you were brave/careful you could fit the H3 glass bits into the old Jap spec holders - must try it one day ...
