Keeps the revs at a better constant. If the gearbox is spinning at 5000rpm you dont want the engine to be spinning at 2000rpm. By bliping the throtle neither the engine or gearbox need to catch up with one another.

Using the gearbox/clutch to bring the engine up to speed on the downchange can cause the rears to lock up and the back end to step out. Surely everyone blips the throttle on the downchange? ;)

cheers guys:D

i will be blipping the throttle now;)

Takes a while to get it right but gives a MUCH smoother ride, less wear on the clutch and drivetrain etc... You don't have to heel and toe at first, just come off the brake, blip and back on the brake. Once you get used to that you can practice heel and toeing it :)

dont you have 3 feet then ?

Only people who live in the SW have three feet   ;)

thats not a foot in between my legs LOL

no its about 4 inches  so they say
