Went to see the Falkirk wheel today. Very impressive and so was the weather, the kids were not interested but enjoyed the play area. If anyone is thinking of going i'd suggest taking a picnic as the snacks are expensive.

Trivia- It takes just 22.5 kilowatts (kW) to power the electric motors, which consume just 1.5 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy in four minutes, roughly the same as boiling eight kettles of water.

lol, only seen it from a distance so far, really will need to go see it up close sometime, specially as I live less than 2 miles from the bloody thing!!!!

i know what u mean mate, i'm only 25 minutes away and couldn't believe its took nearly 5 years to go and see it.

must be quite an experience to be on it in a boat i guess
