Before you go diving in there with both feet....................

That first one was sold on pistonheads about a month ago for ten grand!!.

They are an absolute fortune to run and extremely temperemantal. I know the car in question because I viewed it last summer when the guy wanted 15K for it. He hit a pothole on the test drive and it cost nearly £900 for a new wheel and tyre. You can kiss goodbye to a grand every time you take it in for a service (and that's if everything is OK!) and there's always some electrical fault or sensor or mounting clip that's knackered.

Having said that, I owned a 4.2 V8 one years ago and when they are on song...........................better than sex with Kelly Brooke  .

Oh, and they sound amazing, no need for a stereo here.

I wouldn't pay more than 10K for one though because you need at least 4K a year just to keep it on the road (without any major problems).

Just my opinion of course.

Cheers.

i bought a 4.0 speed six and i broke down on my way home from the dealers, i took it strait back and got my money back (very unhappy dealer, had to threaten him if he didn't)

i absolutely fookin love the cerbera  and any tvr come to that but they're so unreliable. if i had the money i'd go for it without even thinking. my cousin had one about 7 yrs agoand i was sooooooooooooo jealous but he ended up getting rid of it cos it cost him too much.

Cerbera is probably my favourite sports car of all time, just not summoned up the courage to buy one yet - it's not the purchase cost it's the running expenses !

Are'nt TVR's supposed to be unreliable, and the build quality naff?? :(

One of the sexiest sports cars ever made, and I would love one!

But two things scare me!

1. The cost of running one

2. Having had the pleasure of cutting someone out a crashed TVR a while ago, I would be very careful driving it!

MMM very true, take a Red Rose Cerbera for a test drive and you'll find out.

You cant accelerate (it spins)

You cant brake hard (it spins)

You cant use engine braking (it spins)

Not sure if the handling was the issue, but the car seemed to offer the crash protection of a wet cardboard box!

I would seriously buy one tomorrow if I thought I could get 12 months out of it without at least one major headache. As for the handling, the BHP/ton on these is incredible and, treated with respect, you can go faster than just about anything.

Depends how good a driver you are

Oh, and NOTHING turns heads like a Cerbera, nothing
