How the hell do these come out??? (The car is a 2002 52 reg Elegance.)

Need to replace the offside one due to a birdstrike

All the manual says for bulb replacement is "Take it to a Vauxhall dealer" :mac1:

All help gratefully received.

Front Foglight

Removal

1. Remove the front bumper as described in Chapter 11.

2. Unscrew 3 mounting bolts and remove foglight from the bumper, then disconnect wiring

Refitting

1. Reversal of Removal

Front Bumper

Removal

1. Working under the front of the vehicle remove the three plastic clips securing the front bumper to the splash guard. To do this, depress the central pins.

2. On each side of the vehicle, unscrew the upper screws and remove the lower clips securing the wheelarch liners to the front bumper.

3. Have an assistant support the front bumper, then prise out the plastic covers and undo the three upper screws from the front body panel.

4. Carefully pull the sides of the front bumper out from the wing panels and withdraw it from the front of the vehicle. On models with the front foglights or headlight washers, disconnect the wiring as it is being removed. Where applicable, disconnect the from the exterior temperature sensor.

Refitting

1. Reverse of removal. Check the condition of the polystyrene packing on the front valance and renew if necessary.

make sure you can get a fog light first.

My older son hit a fox about a month ago (did over £3k worth of damage to his brand new Vx Vectra)! He's still waiting for a front fog light, Vx say they're temporarily unavailable.

Also I think you may find the bumper is fastened to everything else with torx bolts rather than 'proper ' bolts.
