Ever since my car came back from Nisstek (R.I.P) the speedo has only worked as and when the mood takes it. In addition the readings on the speedo are always out, i.e would show 30 when you were actually doing 40 (very dangerous lol). The car had the engine rebuilt and a manual box conversion.

 

Anyone like to stab a guess at what the problem could be?

If it is an import with a speedo converter, it may be that that's at fault.

As it has had a gearbox change I would start there personally.

 

The connector may be loose or the sender etc.
