If bikers drove their bikes as per the rules of the roads 99% of your bikers crashes would never happen, fact.

..............Not got any arguments there Nick. But that would be the same for any vehicle wouldn't it mate? I have been a biker for 31 years and have had my share of mis-haps. Some my fault and some not. But what i will say as FACT. most of my near miss' have been the cars fault. I have been driving along and had a bike do something stupid and done my nut at the bloke on many occasions even been cut up on my bike by another bike  But I say it again the red car in the video should have known the bike was going to try and take him it was so obvious I feel like I was there

Yup, and as i said in my first post the drivers road attitude in the red car is glaringly obviuse he is gonna overtake the car infront of him, the biker should have seen that and read the situation.

Now im not saying its the bikers fault, far from it, the red car didn't look out to see what the bike was doing.

My point is it was a stupid move for the bike to do when its clear when the red car was about to do. I wouldn't have tried it in my car let alone on a bike!

the driver of the red car knew the biker was there, knew that the bike was gonna go as soon as he had the chance.........and knew he wasn't gonna let him. the bike didn't have a chance, he kept going for the gap, lost, a lucky escape.

i ride a bike i used to see something like this at least once a week when i used to ride during rush hour, until it happened to me, one of them BMW 4 x 4's who wouldn't let me past on a dual carriageway got sucked in.......paid for it.

i know that whatever i drive i don't have the accelleration / manouverability of modern sportsbike and if a bike is behind me and weaving about i know that the first chance he gets he's gone, so i let him.

A couple of questions for whoever wants to answer them, think before you do........

traveling fast down a country road approaching a right hand bend, you can't see all of it, do you cut the white line, even fractionally?

would you see a bike behind you if it remained in the same position behind you at all times?

Stu
