Hi all,

My friend has her house on the market at £285 and has had 2 offers at £280 which she is happy to accept. The thing is she's not looking to actually sell now till mid June and both people are happy to wait. The thing is does she take it off the market and ask for a deposit from either buyer? The estate agents has turned round to her and asked her to chose a buyer but how can she make sure they will actually wait till June?

Cheers

sell now, with all the shit that goes with selling a house it may take that long to actually complete the deal, and te prob is if they have to wait they may go somewhere else, could always try and get a deposit and make out a contract

There is no guarantees in house buying until contracts are exchanged that im aware of.

Best bet is to take the advice of the estate agent. Chances are it will take at least 2 months to complete anyway so perhaps try and agree an exchange date in June.

Cheers guys. The estate agents have asked her to choose which was a bit :wack: I did say to her that he's being paid and should be advising her.

£285. thats very cheap. i would of round it up to at least 300 quid. ;)

As stella says sell now.Useless fecking estate agents take ages any way, i know i've sold two in two years :headvswal  You can always slow it down a bit any way by taking ages to reply to things they ask for i.e.Damp proof reports, corgi certificates and generly responding slowly to letters and phone calls.I know the feckers i sell my houses to do. :xxx:

I sold one of my houses with no chain both ways and it took 4 months to go through. Don't lose the buyer, another may not come along for months.
