No one every makes an effort to come to the south west...so if an event was booked and paid for maybe more would turn up. This is why karting etc is a better idea, more fun too. As much as i enjoy pub meets, a bit closer to home is sometimes a nice idea, as i make an effort and people saying they will be at certain events never turn up and it gets disapointing after spending a fair bit of petrol money to get to meets.. :(

So....my moan is over, leave it to the dedicated members of the south west to decide what we do... :duffer:

p.s that moan was ;) for all members apart from paul@swz,anna and NA kins..lol ;)

Lisa i used to attend meets when there were just 2 of us. just havent got a working car ar the moment.

my cars not working yet either but heres my moan we hardly ever have any meets in the north end of the south west we have had the gloucester one the last 2 yrs and ross on wye but thats it rest of the time when my car was working i had to travel to bristol and beyond so maybe something else up this way may be a idea.

I'm up for a Gloucester area meet all the time. Dont mind travelling the Bristol distance occasionally, but further is best left to the big shows imo.

I think we should have a meet in each sub-district (Gloucester, Bristol, Devon, South Coast..), say the first weekend of every month, or even twice a month :), then every once in a while we go and all meet together at one of the areas, and rotate this.

That is a fair idea, but still dont think it will work as people just wont dedicate to drive down the bottom end (plymouth, cornwall)

its not so much the travelling that much its the petrol money, a meet for wow300 and me costs us over £100 each time  another suggestion is you north south westers could pay our petrol, lol ;)

SW region covers a lot of distance, and unfortunaly a lot of its members dont like to travel. I used to get shot down everytime I actually arranged any meet south of bristol , its good that we recently actually have some more southerly dedicated members.

p.s I have'nt been to any meets in the last few months since I stood down as SW Events organiser (although I've still been to more SW meets than anyone else has ! ;)) , put my name down for whatever we do with this new meet.

looking at April before i take my car anywhere, bumpers away at the paintshop, got some other jobs to do yet and i havnt put any miles on the engine yet.soon as its all good im gonna pop along and meet some people.whatever you guys do have a nice time.

you dont have to be in a Zed you know !

I think that wherever the meet is we are going to get people who moan because its a distance from where they live.

Unfortunately we can't please everyone at every meet but I am trying to spread them out as fairly as I can. Please feel free to holler if you think of any good places to have meets or if we seem to be sticking to the same areas.

I think this meet we will go with the Bristol area and I am looking into a camping weekend in Cornwall for when the weather gets nicer for all our members down that way.

Paul has had some kind of flyer about a rolling road day in Plymouth so he is going to dig that out and put a thread up on that - might be a good meet for April!!!

Paul will post details on that when he digs it out anyway.

Sound any good guys???
