I wanted one - wish I could remember the model name tho

bloody expensive for an aerotop, manual tt

not that I know of, my dad spoke to an importer at JAE once, who had a really nice black aerotop, with regards to importing a twin turbo aerotop and he said there is no such thing.

Cheers bud

I dont think you can get a tt areo top .The one in the fast and furouis is a Na if you look under the bonnet when it came in on the trailer it has a NA engine in it.

I looked at getting linney.org to import one for me and I was told that it was NA only unless you got a aftermaket single turbo convertion.

not entirely sure why they didn't make them, when there is clearly demand for them

I am 99.9% certain that there is a TT aerotop, but it's

only available as an auto, however, some do convert them.

Edit, in fact i know a bloke who has a tt aerotop, so they do exist.

I read or heard "Fook I could have dreamed it" that rhe reason it was NA only was because the higher HP twisted to Aero top monocock and effectively wrote it off first bootful out of a bend.

The same thing happened to the original Rover TomCat's. They were going to be 260BHP not 220BHP, but they power twisted the chassis.

Could it have been a conversion - like people on here twin turbo a convertable?

Was there ever a factory Aerotop model?

Hmmmmm... looks like TT was a factory option on the GZ Aerotop version.

Yes, it was. I looked into one before settling on my Z.

Just spoke to a guy i know who sells supras, the aerotop was

available in both n/a & tt, both only available with auto box.

If you see a 6 spd aerotop, it's been converted, quite a common

conversion too.

Yup, sure was!

There are a fair few of these available for sale now - the GZ spec is the top of the TT range. All UK cars were equivalent to Jap GZ spec but no aerotop was available in the UK.

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

That proberbly why I was convinced they were all NA only. I have seen them advertised as Aero top Turbo Manual convertion. :headvswal

I know from researching my wifes TRD that most Jspec Toyota performance cars have a vast list of factory options and many leave the factory quite unique.

I still think they are an ugly car, but they are dam well made.
