Well, for me, The name Vin started in University - I did a media degree and my 3rd year project was a *very* tounge in cheek documentary about street racing! (it did get me a first though - so it must have been good!)

 

anyways, my surname is Dorrer, and based on the fact that I shave my head, do a fair amount of weights and at the time drove a 200sx (which was faster than the majority of the rest of the students cars) lead everyone to call me Vin Dorrer (after Vin Diesel who is also muscley, bald and drives fast cars in the fast and the furious)

 

If anyone is interested the clips for the documentary are here (and yes I know its the 100nx in the video, 2 weeks prior to filming I blew the 200's engine! whoops! so I had to use a substitute).
