addicted to maps.google.com

 

is there any other software we can use that goes down in higher-res (some areas of google are not close at all)

or any more recent?

some google maps can be up to 3 years old Ive been told.

 

Ive used NASA Worldwind? but cant remember if that was more current.

There is a Microsoft version out there which is pretty good I believe.

Also a comercial company called getMapping, their maps may be more up to date.

I use Multimap, It works for my needs.

yeah this one is amazing - can view from 4 different angles too. coverage isnt exactly 100% tho but none of them are. Google Earth is pretty awesome, especially the new version with more 3D stuff

bloody hell, just tried maps.live.com and multimap

 

my house wasnt even built when them photos were taken

must be over 7-8 years old

 

maps.google.com seems best so far for up to date.
