… I think! (no comments from the peanut gallery!!)

Just been to hellfrauds to get some power steering fluid..... I had parked opposite some fella sat in his car eating his KFC...

I pop the bonnet – and am about to start the ‘regular’ process of topping up my power steering….. When he winds his window down and says

‘Oi love, do you know what you are doing – would you like some help’

Loads of answers came pouring into my little brain at once…

a) doesn’t look like you need help eating that – you look like you’ve had a lot of practice in the past

b) Um... I’ve had the car for 9 months and judging by the amount of times I’ve had to top up the stuff – I think I know what im doing

c) Shut the fook up…..

And I settled with yeah whatever… and he laughs!

Whats wrong with you fellas!!

Fookin hell he was only offering assistance. I think he was being a gentleman. You'd soon be whinging if everyone just ignored you as soon as you put your head under the bonnet.

Women, can't live with them, can't live with them!!.

Well done Miss Pie ;)

Most girls are useless though lets be honest

My ex had to ask me if I could fix her bonnet that was stuck down the other day.

She said it had jammed down and she couldn't get her hand under it to pull the lever and lift it up.

I reminded her of the release lever in the car!

and

I've been out with 2 girls recently who have NEVER put petrol in their cars themselves - boyfriend has to do it

A lot of women have more of an idea than men.

And there's a lot more that don't. Surely in the name of British gallantry it's polite to offer to help a woman alone with her car (even if she does know what she's doing). FFS what's the world coming to.

Why don't you just get the leak fixed (or whatever it is) and then you wouldn't have to put up with this outrageous behaviour from men.

there is a difference between being serious and offering help than being sacrastic and asking if i even know what im doing.... then laughing to yourself! ;)

You didn't say that though did you!!

Dont think my car is the only one with a leak.... and i've already replaced one pipe... just waitin for when i go away and can afford to have the car off the road ;)

........Awaiting the "How do i get power steering fluid out of my washer bottle?" post!!!!!!!!!

Yes he was taking the piss the way he said it but at least he offered.

I'd have just asked if you needed a hand.

and some help with the car ;)

What has your car being the only one with a leak got to do with it. It's your attitude towards some dude trying to help you that's the issue here.

One day you'll have a puncture or something in the pissing rain and you'll be off somewhere posh. See how glad of assistance (male or female) you will be then

I think the point is….it’s not nice to think someone is stupid when you don’t know them. I would offer help but I wouldn’t be sarcastic, I would only help if they looked like they were having problems.

i can top you up with plenty of fluid if you like miss furry muff pie. but only in a helpful , gentlemenly way of course.

I am not your love and you are obviously deranged today. The fact that you are driving a Z should encourage most men to believe that you know something worth knowing.

Your a female chauvinist.
