It's me again, having another moan.
Who is it that keeps removing new posts? It can't be an automatic thing as sometimes they are deleted every 15 minutes or so when there are only a few threads and other times they remain unchanged for ages and five or six pages of threads accumulate.
I often go to 'new posts' and glance through the thread headings to see what interesting ones there are (it happens sometimes, like this thread :p )
and then go back to the first page and start looking at specific posts.
The problem is, when I have looked at one or two, I go back to 'new posts' and there are now only half a dozen threads showing.
I would very much like the items on 'new posts' be left longer so that I have a chance to read those of interest. At the moment many threads must be unread by us mere mortals simply because we never see them on 'new posts'
My suggestion is that a minimum of four pages (about 100 threads most recently having posts) should always be viewable and only those older than this four pages should be removed. Either that or a time limit of perhaps a couple of hours should be allowed before the thread disappears from the 'new posts' listing.
Is there any support for these suggestions?
Cheers - Dave
