Seems a bit pricey to me for a 27" screen - They're 'out of stock' anyway so have a look around for a better bargain.

Cheers - Dave

They have them at me local Tesco.

Seemed pretty reasonable for HD ready LCD widescreen.

Other brands were £500+++ for the same size / spec.

Goodmans are a cheap make using cheap parts.

Have seen 32" going for just over £300.

You get what you pay for, spend a bit more,

Is it worth splashing out on something like a Sony then?

We're talking £1000 odd for a 32" TV.

Craig - you get what you pay for. You know that. Goodmans is Alba, as is Ministry of Sound, Bush, Cable and Wireless (phones) ...and a few other 'cheap' brands. Ask if the panel is A grade, get maximum contrast ratio - Samsungs? just brough out a 10,000 to 1, and get the highest pixel resolution you can afford, looking for a 1080i or p scan facility. Some sizes suit HD better than others, basic rule is the bigger it is, the better. Plasmas had it, LCD is the winner.

Just wait a bit, there's some good kit coming out. Retailers are shifting old technology hence the low prices.

Good luck

Jack

plasma is actually the better choice for the person who likes a betterTV picture, most of your viewing will still be standard def,

panasonic make a good range at the moment

lol plasmas had it :nelson:

it wasnt long ago, someone on this forum posted plasma had reached its max' size at 42" they are now up to 60"

same old chesnut people have one thing and slate the other without all the info, as ive said many time go into the shop m8, study them all and make your own mind up what is best for YOU!!

same way you will never get a unbiased view re tyres/cars etc etc

we have 4 plasmas 3 of them hd, BUT i certainly wouldn't be giving MY view of what YOU should buy in YOUR house,

you know what you want to spend and what you want it for m8, if its looks and does the job for you buy it ;)
