I thought that would have helped though? Everybody as told me that once my helmet has been bashed (even lightly) then it must be replaced. Is this true?

it did have some stickers on it but i managed to rip them off.

not really cos the lid splits in two so you can clean the inside easily, especially useful when getting rid of flies and other insects.
