another aiv question......

my car is getting de-catted next weekend and i don't have the time just now to remove the AIV's,,,,,,

 

can my mechanic just disconnect the two pipes going into the exhaust-cats and leave them hanging until i get round to removing them? or do they need blocked off?

    Just tape them up and poke them back through the holes in the floor and forget about them :)
