I lost my best mate in a parachute accident 5 years ago ... and I dont complain every time i see a cartoon or film making light of a parachute not opening (i.e. redbull ad springs to mind) etc.

 

As for the "speed kills" comment ... it WAS flippant, but so what!? If anything, the footage of the accident just showed how quickly and nasty an accident at speed can be ... and certainly made me cringe!!! Admittedly it was at 220+ which is not a speed many of us will achieve on a daily basis :).

 

I span off Elvington in my Cerb a couple of years ago ... but I think I was only doing about 60 at the time :).

I'm still saddly loitering here, but just about everyone else has gone.

I still have the Zed mate ... but its up for sale ... just need to tidy a few things up on it first. I bought my old Cerbera back so wanting to sell the zed and get a runaround for when the Cerb isnt working :rolleyes:

 

I still get on here from time to time but not as much as I used to ... have the old crew mostly gone??

We all have bad things to deal with at sometime in your life, some more than others. The people that blame everyone else are just emotionally dumping because they carn't deal with it. In other words they are wrong not the prople trying to enjoy their lives.

 

All this crap gets coverage because bad news and controversy sells and since Mrs Thatcher replaced moral responcibiliy with "Market forces" the minoraty voice of controversy has total media control, because normal people and opinions don't make headlines.

 

Hence counrty is a mess and extreme factions of all political creeds and religious zelots are getting power, because people are desperate to brake free of minority apression.

You aint wrong there Si. Its so corny it makes you wonder if it was meant to be? I saw if on DVD for sale in a shop the other day and I had to laugh. Not even worth a blank DVD to copy. But it was the idea of the subject of the film I was thinking about with all the do gooders as the co stars........ :rofl:
