Dismantling brake calipers for painting

I had the thought of painting my drab grey front and rear brake calipers red with the nissan logo in white. But the 300zx server manual often mentions do not remove x bolts from the calipers.

 

Can i dismantle the brake calipers to just the housing to paint them red?

    yes as long as you don't undo the bolts holding them together ie split the two halfs
