who has windows vista

as above. what do you think of it, i'm hoping to get it soon but i want to know what other people say first. i have a dual cpu and 1ghz graphics but i dont think xp is letting my pc perform as it could :smash:

    I have rc1 and beta 2

     

    Quite impressed so far, It is XP with a new look but some things are improved. Windows update is much easier, networking seems to work very well.

     

    If you remove all the funcky looking stuff you are left with pretty much xp tho.

    i presume you have DX10 GPU's then, which would be worth getting vista for as you will get better peformance in a DX10 enviroment rather than DX9 on XP

    yes i do but i'm still using 32 bit xp

    my spec is AMD X2 4800 amd, sli BFG 7950gt x2 512mb, 4GB crosair ram

    right, you are dual core. Vista will make a bit of improvemet not as much as i thought before as i thought you have Nvidia's 8800GPU which is DX10.

    vista offers no performance increase over XP, quite the opposite actually. I ran it for a while, instant search and aero are nice touches, but theres a massive performance hit from XP.

    you might think about a PhysX card
