I want to put a medium sized ( about 21" CRT) TV on a DVD player.

There are no vents in the top of the DVD player.

Any idea if it'll be ok or the weight or something will knacker it?

Cheers!

Pick up the tv put it on some bathroom scales to get its weight.

Now put the scales on the dvd player and tread on it till you reach the weight reading the tv gave. If the dvd player doesn't seem to be buckling under the pressure then it should be ok.

Of course this will only have any chance of working if the dvd player is larger than the scales. And most of them are tiny these days.

Just an idea though. you could just tread on it with your foot and see if it breaks.

ermm.. no you cant put a tv on top of it...

the main spindle for the dvd player is on top of the tray assembly, usually fixed to the lid or a millimeter or so below it.

as the case is only just below 1mm thick it wouldnt stand a chance with a big old tv on top. trust me matey i wouldnt...

You can if you like, it probably wont work afterwards though, but you can!!

There that's the answer to the question!! ;)
