Changed rear shocks and what a difference!!!

Finally got round to chnaging my rear shocks last night. Didn't put anything flash on just the stock items. Have been meaning to do it since I got the car. So three years on it's done!!. The car still had the original shocks on and to say they were completely wankered would be an understatement. Took me about 4 -5 hours to do last night. Not as difficult to do as I first thought. the biggest pain being you have to strip all the rear plastic trim out the car. Why nissan could not have just made a removable clap above the top of the shock I don't know!!!

Well I must say I had rather a large smile on my face when I got home (the missus didn't cause it was 10.30PM). Gave the IOW twisty roads a good seeing to and the difference was truly amazing. Can't wait for the weekend now. I don't how much a garage would charge to do this job but I am glad I had a go myself. Best of all this has cured the car from the wobble / sliding sensation it had when I hit a bump or rough ground in the road.

Enjoy the ride guys (I will this weekend!!)

Had a similar improvement when I replaced my originals with Tokico adjustables. I got a local garage to do the work and he also installed the Suspension Techniques sway bars at the same time. Cost me £80 cash, but I had already removed all the tupperware from the boot.

Hey Simon, how ya doing?

This is gonna have to be one of my next jobs. Congrats on doing yourself, perhaps you would like to earn a bit of wonger and do mine when I'm ready lol

Have a good one mate and be good to see you and Glen sometime in the near future.

Hi there Martin, how's things going down Bournemouth way?.

You are right M8, we will have to do another southern Zed meet soon. Deffo with the good weather on it's way!!.

It was not too much of a horror story to change them M8. It did make the world of difference once it was done. If as Andy says you can get them done for about £80.00 that seems a pretty good price. Do the donkey work for them and take the panels out ready.

Once done give it a good thrash on some twisty roads and you will have the same smile as I had last night!!. The shocks were about £89.00 each from Nissan so not too bad on price. Go for it M8.

Seez ya
