well im off sat to valdisare skiing but all i can do is the baisic snowplough :shock:

 

anyone here been to valdisaire? whats the nightlife like? :duffer: :duffer:

 

what equip do i need?

 

got the following:-

 

salopets

jacket

wicking top

thermals

windproof jacket

gloves

ski socks

shades

sun lotion

 

what do they wear on a night out not shirts surley :shock:

Don't forget a nice warm hat and a strap to hold your glasses on if they are likely to fall off when you stack!

 

I would bring some walkie talkies along too as its pricey when you get lost to use your mobile.

 

A whistle is also an idea incase you get lost in a "white-out"!

 

If your feeling very brave you must take the Tommeuses chairlift and ski the Piste Perdu, the famous "lost piste" that winds down through and under the rocks above La Daille. It's a serious challenge but you will feel really proud of yourself when you have done it. Make sure your insured though as strictly speaking this is off piste stuff. Must try and do it though mate.

 

Nightlife is great and there is a really nice restuarant called Le Canyon. It's not too expensive for Val d'Isere and the foods superb.

 

I can't wait to go back to Val soon myself. Have a good one mate, you will love it!

dont know about valdisare but was in the pyreneese not long ago in Les Angles. And there you would need some snow

I think there is a bar there called the banana bar, it's just down from Dicks tea bar. I remember having a few good nights out in Val D'isere.

 

I know you will enjoy skiing and you will have to go every year from now on!
