I have been looking at the clearance lines from Richer Sounds, link below-

There seems to be quite a few good choices there. For your money what would you go for. From memory I thought the Toshiba DR1 was a solid performer.

me personally i connect through my pc rather than buying a set dvd recorder as i can get a dvd writer for pc's cheap enough but i know thats no practical for all

if you want cheap then thats it lol, any of the panosonic dmr's would be better m8, don't forget some of the stuff your likely to use the dvd rec' for is stuff you want to keep for a long time, and would be nothing worse than a year down the line it's lost, (or an hour lol) check these couple of reviews out

doesn't make confident reading, if you check a lot of reviews it comes back with the same results:(

i used to use a dmr a lot for puting cam corder stuff on, but hardly gets used now with using a mini dvd cam, but occasionally use it for making copies of them and never an issue,

like anything m8 depends what you want it for?
