Right then guys n gals. Im proposing we have a return visit to the Travellers Rest at Arnold on the Outskirts of Nottingham. We were there in Jan 06 and I thought it was OK

The Travellers Rest. Mapperley Plains. Nottingham. NG3 5RT

This is a popular pub for lunch so we need to be there for 12.00 when it opens to get inside and get tables.

So get yer names down for the first meet of 2007.

Didn't take you long to get back, mind you at the speed you took us there the paint on the car nearly peeled off.

Good day and nice to chat with you lot again.

Wasn't my fault, a certain blue zed with a bearded man piloting it with his wife passed me doing 100 so i only felt it was right to keep up the pace as the front car

Yep, it was a good un today. I know it was chilly but it is only January.

Too many people to talk to really!

Photos are not really my strong point but here are a couple of general shots to give an idea of the day..

Thanks to MantaV8 for originally suggesting this venue last year.

He has another one in this area too that we could go to in the summer.

Next month the group is moving a little further south for the meet and there are already some suggestions for a suitable location. Probably going to be organized by some members down that way.

There are other new suggestions for summer meets on the way too.But I will leave that to others to post up.

Midlands Meets have got off to a great start this year and Im sure with the number of members and ideas floating round that 2007 is going to be a good year.

What a good turnout , good to see some new faces as well as the old ones :x:

See you all at the next :duffer: :duffer:

Hi Glad I could make it. What a turn out for a cool January day(20 or so zeds). Next time you have a meet I will certainly make the effort to get there.Hope to maybe see some of you at Ferrybridge in a fortnight By the way a very good venue

Yep good meet guy's. Glad to talk to some new peeps and some old faces. Sorry to SkylineDave and Paul. Missed the turning which wasn't signposted as the A6211. Anyways a good meet and bring it on for 2007!!!

Ivan

What a good day, so many cars but not enough time to talk to everyone!!

Scrawni, Nick is right, I felt like a bit of a blast on the way up, so put the heavy foot to the metal, could of gone quicker, but there's such a thing as the old bill, plus Marie-Anne screaming in the passenger seat :slap:

Oakden, nice to meet you and your good lady, feel free to send me a pm and we can continue the discussion on your car and mods.

Alan and Chris, thanks for the bits. Gives me a few more things to play with, and lots more coming

Vince, great to see you as well bud - are you going to do a job lot on those thermo cups, I'll have a blue one if you do, if not let me know where you picked it up from :duffer:

Pete and Daz, always a pleasure to catch up. Again, great to see everyone and thanks to Ivan and Dave for heading us back in the right direction.

Look forward to the next one, open as to where and when and hope there's just as good a turn out, if not more Z's

Chris & Marie-Anne :duffer: :duffer:

lol, i was tempted to push it a bit more myself but thought i'd better not as i informed ahead there was a police patrol vehicle cruising in front of him at the next junction :D

Thats funny...just came across this meet that took place yesterday. Nice to see you all met nice friendly oakden and his dear lady, funny but i thought i was his lady too!! Well what do you know, bet you guys meeting him for the first time would never have thought that the short, dumpy guy with the bad dress sense would be such a womanising, two faced, two timing cheat! Wish him all the best from me.

Errmmmmm, dex3, location = Newcastle...... Oakden, location = Leicester!!

Bloody hell, that's a hell of a commute every time they meet ;)

Well, not any more

nah newcastle was a front...really derby...but dont worry dex3 is not the type to hang around worrying about rubbish like him..found me an absolutely adorable guy already with personality and charm...and....honesty...which was the first topic on the agenda..haha...oooh eastenders eat your heart out....anyway you lot, get back to the subject of cars...this is getting ridiculous!!
