After selling my last place (due to impending redundancy) I've been living at my dads place since April. At last, with a few months at my new job, I'm in a position to buy again, so have been looking over the last few weeks. Well I got told of a place by one of the local estate agents earlier this week, arranged a visit, liked it and put an offer in. I received a phone call today that my offer was accepted :D

It's only a two bed apartment, but it'll do for me :) I won't be in until at least the middle of January, especially with Christmas in the way, but I can wait. Anyway I've got to order a sofa and have it delivered before I can live in it, as that's about the only thing I don't already have.

I lost my old job back at the end of February. That was with Alstom at the railway test track next to where you all enjoyed the last Mids meet.

 

I managed to start this one at the beginning of July, also working for the railway (been working on the railway for almost 18 years now)

 

It'll be nice to be in my own place again. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to dad for putting up with me, but I need my own space and independence ;)
