I already have a HD 24" widescreen monitor so am just going to save up a bit and shell out on the new DX10 graphics card and conroe cpu card for my PC. This new hardware totally kicks the ass off the 360 and now the ps3 is obsolete (graphicly) before its even released.

Can't wait for Crysis on the PC.......

im waiting for the PS3 but i'll only buy it if there are 2 or 3 games worth getting. i have a high-spec PC so i use that for gaming too (when you need a keyboard and mouse ;) )

Just to add, according to a few sources, xbox 360 will soon be using a version of Direct X 10 and run at up 8 times the speed it does now so it should be able to compete with ps3 head to head.

There is no evidence that the PS3 is "all that".

 

There has been a lot of coverage about the release, but I have not actaully heard if the PS3 is any good.

I have heard about the scaling problem, that it does not recognise some HD TVs and that it can only scale down resolutions.

also sony started by saying the PS3 is all this and that and because of pre production problems and blu-ray problems they dropped the spec but never said what to, i would like to see it side by side with 360 but still i'm not getting it straight away with the problems they have had and the pile of shit the PSP was/is i'll wait till i know they are reliable. any way the only game i want for it is MGS4

Problem about seeing games side by side now, is you have to have a game which is available for both consoles, and to keep development and costs down, they will design the game to take advantage of neither hardware. This is what happened to most PS2 and Xbox games. Xbox had some advantages over the PS2 but on shared games, the advantage was never implimented to save money and time.

Xbox 360 vs PS3, there will never be a clear winner as its virtually impossible to compare. I think that people should go for the one who has the most games which grabs their attention.

i agree. there was a few games i wanted for the PS3 that were just for the PS3 but all of a sudden they were on both PS3 and 360 leaving only MGS4 the only game i want that i canjt get on any other console

Now I dont have a HD TV yet, is it still worth getting an XBox 360?

ive seen the 360 played on a normal res tv and on my high def tv and it makes alot of difference get both you will be a happy man :D

I love Zelda. I got hooked playing Ocarina of time on the N64 and at the time I hated the N64 with a passion, so admitting that Ocarina of Time was the best RPG I have ever played and probably in the top 5 games ever made (my top 5) was really hard to admit.
