Hi,

Looking to get my carputer installed but it's got a problem. When it boots up, it hangs straight after it displays the bios and processor. You have to press any key to get it to carry on through the memory test etc. I did a bios reset and then a CMOS reset but it still does it :( Any ideas?

Cheers

Check all connections and reseat, memory, video card, hard disk etc, could of worked loose. Well, thats what I would check for on a normal pc.

Cheers, I'll do that but it's just confusing cos if you press a key, it carries on :(

Also check in the bios, its halting as its seeing an error, possibly memory, keyboard or cmos. In the bios theres a setting for halt on all errors, you could try disabling it. Also, check the cmos battery.

Changed "halt on errors" and it made no difference. What do yo umean by check the CMOS battery? It's seated correctly but do you mean voltage?

Cheers for your help :)
