I got a TOM TOM and I dont like it. Its never taken me to where I put in I want to go EVER! I always have to do the last bit myself.

Its weird on some motorways too. Tells you to go into the right hand lane when your carrying straight on and other weird things.

Maybe its lookin out for the people who come on from the slip roads.

I often use multimap.co.uk and for some reason there is ALWAYS one duff piece of info that sends me miles off to nowhere.

I think rather than getting sat nav or more directions I may just bite the bullet and not go anywhere ever. I'll just look at places using google earth!

I've got a tomtom 710 and flippin love it, travel a lot with work and don't know how the heck I survived without it..

I've got a tomtom ,find it GREAT, and do about 25 thou a year, so its comes in really handy, but its true, it does sometimes go off track, but so does the wife when she's giving directions :slap:

I use the stone age map and compass method myself and I don't get lost. Must be due to being an ex girl guide lol
