Getting insurance quotes recently and looking at what some of you guys and gals on here pay got me thinking. What's the average age of a Zed driver on here? So, post up your age and what type of Zed you drive NA, TT etc.

I'll kick it off:

I bet if you did ever have to make a claim they'd still tell you your grandmother fitted the wrong window locks to her bungalow in 1972 or something so you're not covered. I hate insurance companies.

If they did they'd be loosing £5,000+ a year which is what i pay a year to insure my other Vehicles and have done for about 11 years and only made 2 claims in that time amounting to less than £4K.

But I know exactly where your coming from. I never got paid out on a mkIII Escort 1600 Ghia because the broker had failed to wright that I had a speeding offence on my licence. Even though the insurance company had to have seen a copy of my licence to insure me. Or so their small print said.

Funny thing was that 5 years later the old bill rang up and said "we've found your car". It had my Lewis leathers bike jacket still in it. Though know worn out to death, but in the little sleave pokect was a invoice for a pair of new Avon Road Runners for my bike of the time the car was nicked. Then they realized the vin No was faulse and there was my engine number. Car was scrap, but a true story.

Oldie.....at 28....you're havin' a giggle :p I'm surrounded by 'kids'...thank God for 'SteveJ' ( Steves do wear well!!!) and 'MarkZX' otherwise I'd have to sell up and get the sensible car the missus keeps on about

As for costs, too much, even with age and full NCB, believe it or not my premium went down when I put the missus on the policy and she only passed her test last year...go figure!!!

Cheers, Steve
